Its a Girl OR...

Boy! Well we will just say its a Baby! No, we didn't find out last week the sex of the baby. The ultrasound all looked good! We had the technician, write it down for us and then she sealed it in an envelope. She was a 100% sure of the gender. Mike was okay with this because he doesn't think I can wait until September to find out. BUT as surprised as everyone is, I really want to wait until the baby is here. So sorry, you all get to wait too.

Baby Beckstead!

The sealed envelope and yes (to crunch) it's still sealed and hidden, have a little faith!

Health Days!

Health Days is the first parade of the year. For many, many years we would go to S town and watch the parade with my parents and my Grandpa and Grandma Meyer. After the parade, Grandma Meyer would always have a BBQ lunch afterwards. When we moved to S town several years ago, It was time for me to take over the tradition for Grandma. Grandma got to take a few years off of doing lunch, but she never missed the parade. Grandma's lunch included BBQ, pickles and olives, sliced swiss cheese, a salad or fresh fruit and Brownies for dessert. I hope to keep her tradition alive at Health Days. I sure miss her this time of year, since she passed away. Here is Rylie waiting with her bag for the best part of the parade, CANDY!
Lining up for the parade! And we came away with tons of Candy!

The Becksteads!

Grandma Smith, Grandpa Meyer and Rylie! I am sure glad Grandpa took time off to come to the parade again this year.

Fun with fun dip and cousins

Rylie loves fun dip. So I usually will dump the sugar in a bowl and let her dip away. Well she decided to drink the fun dip. She had Green sugar in her hair, eyes, nose, eyebrows. Every time I washed her she got greener and greener and then into the tub.
On my day off we got to hang out with our cousins from Denver (their mom and dad where in NYC). It was a pretty crazy house full, with a 3 year old, 2 year old and a 1 year old. Boy was it fun! Rylie was happy to have cousins to play with.

A fun picnic outside!

What cute cousin buddies!

Okay, so on my last post, I really thought I would have all of you guys on my side! Man was I wrong, of you that left comments only 1 out of 8 was on my side. Mike is gleaming! Well one more week to decide what we are doing, it still is being debated! Too funny, I wonder if we will ever agree on a baby name?

Our Family is growing....

and so is my belly! Yes we are expecting a Baby in September. I am about 4 1/2 months along and very excited! We can find out in a few weeks the gender of the baby, but I don't want to and Mike does. I think it will be a fun surprise to wait until he or she is here. Mike can't wait that long, he just has to know now what we are having. I say we have all the real gear (car seat, crib, high chair, etc). I will just stock up on both boy and girl newborn clothes and then do some serious shopping. They don't need much that first little bit anyway, right? Who agrees with me, we should wait to find out??

Easter Weekend!

Rylie was lucky enough to have two of her cousins over to color Easter eggs. They all did a good job with their eggs and go pretty creative. and she enjoyed the stickers more than then coloring eggs, but whatever makes you happy!

And then Mike got in on the action, he didn't want his nieces to out do him.

Saturday morning got a little crazy; we went to Lee's Marketplace and went down the bunny trail. Lots of kids, but it was really fun. The Easter Bunny was there and Rylie was pretty excited. She just wanted to stay there and watch him, he was a good bunny. Plus they loaded up her basket with treats! Then I got brave and took her to the Smithfield City Easter Egg Hunt, with candy thrown all over the ground, who wouldn't want to attend it. So by now her basket is overflowing and she is EXCITED!

Easter Bunny Loot!
The bunny left a trail of eggs to her basket!
and she takes after me and loves PEEPS, but who doesn't!
That crazy Easter bunny left a trail of eggs to the back door and then down the stairs. She caught right on and put on her coat and boots with her Pj's and off she went.

After a crazy morning with the bunny, we headed up to my Mom & Dad's ward and then had an awesome Easter Dinner. I didn't get a picture of the table, but should have. My mom spent hours folding her real napkins into the shape of Bunnies and her center piece was potted flowers, it was very pretty table and the food as always is delicious. Then off to do another Easter Egg Hunt with the cousins.
Ready to take off! Rylie thinks she is so big were her girl cousins and they are always so cute in include her.

She is off and Running!
Then off to the Becksteads with another Easter Egg Hunt and a basket full of goodies from Grandma and Grandpa Beak. What a fun filled day and tons of Candy that mom & dad will have to help her out with. Happy Easter!

St. George Getaway

What a fun trip to WARMER weather. I love St. George in the spring, there are flowers, green grass and trees in bloom. And there is SUNSHINE! Rylie had so much fun down there, that when she realized we were home and pulling into our drive way, she lost it. She didn't want to go to her yellow house, she wanted to go back to her St. George house. She was so upset and would not get out of the car. Talk about spoiled, I felt for her because I felt the same way.

Hiking the red rocks!

Our condo had several pools and we were all in heaven.

The end of a LONG fun filled day and left over "fun dip" all over the place! What is a vacation without tons of Treats.

And the parks. Rylie got to spend HOURS at the parks down there and was one happy girl.

Mike and his buddy got to go golf the The Ledges golf course. He was pretty excited, not sure if he was that excited about his golf game. But they had a blast. I put some time in shopping and reminiscing on my old college days at DIXIE. St. George has grown so much since I was down there, but I think I left my mark! Now can we get some green grass here instead of snow.
