There is nothing better in the spring than nice sunny weather, green grass, and a chance to go to St. George to get it all. My family (minus one of my brothers and his family) all made the trek down south to enjoy it all. We had so much fun hanging out as a family and just playing. We hiked the red cliffs to the waterfall, played in the sand at snow canyon, biked, played at the pool, tennis, and went to every park we could find to just play! I love being able to spend time with family! Serious sunny pictures ahead....
Oh too cute! We never have pictures together!

something to celebrate...
We had a very fun reason for my family to head to St. George (post to come) and celebrate.
My mom turned the big 60 this year.
We celebrated by giving her 60 presents or things she loves like ... chapstick, daffodils, coke, green apples, black jelly beans, el sol, cadbury eggs, peeps, orange slices, raspberries, fresh salsa, avocados, fiesta ware, travel atlas, salt and vinegar chips, magazines, new pencils, quilting needles, etc... It was fun for all the kids to think of things MOM loves. I think she even got a bit embarrassed opening so many gifts!
Since MOM has 6 kids, we all wrote 10 things we love about her and put them in a jar. What an amazing women with so many compliments. I hope I can be half the mom and wife she is. It makes you want to be a better person for sure. Happy Birthday Mom, we sure do love you, look up to you, and want to be like you!! Obviously my kids adore their grandma, check out the picture of them fighting over her below.

1st ER visit...
My little Monkey has climbed so many things he should not have, he gets lots of bumps and bruises, but this time it was a little too much for mom to take and we took him to the ER. We were up visiting Bode's great grandparents who live in this log home. The railing for the loft and stair well is two logs. Bode started down the stairs on his belly and slid right under the railing and dropped about 8 feet or so to the carpet below. It happened so fast! He cried pretty hard and took a bit to calm him down, well quite a bit. We just really weren't sure if he was okay or not. We took him into the ER and he may have a small fracture on his hand behind his pointer finger, but there is not much they do for a child his age. So we just have to watch and make sure it still doesn't hurt him in about a week. I can't tell you how scary it was. I was so glad Mike was with me, my parents were able to meet us and grab Rylie, and that he is okay. The poor little guy is pretty shaken up and a bit sore, but will be okay. His great Grandma Kay had just painted Rylie's fingernails and Bode wanted his painted too. It just so happens that was the hand that had to be x-rayed.... too cute.
