Happy 95th Birthday...

Mike's great Grandma and Rylie/Bode's great great Grandma Thelma turned 95 on Saturday. I have to say I am so impressed. She is still as spry as ever and doing so good. I sure hope that if I live that long, I am as healthy as her. I should have asked her what her secret is! Happy Birthday.
Enjoying Birthday cake!
Grandma Thelma stuffing Rylie's pockets with treats as we were heading out.

and he is off...

It starts with a scooting backwards, then he starts to scoot forward a few inches, then to an army crawl and now up and crawling. He wants to keep up with Rylie so bad! Please someone slow this kid down.

I love this kid~!

two weeks ago...

What a fun crazy day. We had a SMITH reunion at my parents picnic area with my dad's whole family. His four siblings and their families were all there. It was a fun day to visit, eat and hang out. Then we headed to Richmond's Black and White Day's Parade. Here are the cousins getting ready for the parade. Rylie was covered with mud by the time we headed out. she loved playing in the water.
and of course, the sweet guy!

Rylie's latest....

I have to record some of the funny things Rylie says and does! Here are just a few....

* Not only do we get hugs at our house, we also get "snuggily hugs" from Rylie. They last a second longer! She will ask " do you want one of my snuggily hugs?" how can you resist that?

* at any moment during the day it could be your Lucky Day. Rylie out of no where will let me know that it is my day to read books at night, so it is my Lucky Day. She does this to Grandma and Grandpa too, she lets one of them know that its their Lucky Day to carry her out to the car. Man we are lucky!

*Bode is a horrible sleeper day and night. When we got woke up by Rylie at 3:30 in the morning it was a bit of surprise. When Mike when to check on her and see what she is crying about "she couldn't dance in her dream". He tucked her back in bed and she went right to sleep. I was like what, you woke me up because you couldn't dance in your dream, oh well.

* Me, Rylie, Bode and my two cute nieces went to Caspers. Bode was crying so we went through the drive thru and ordered our icecream. Out came THREE ice cream cones and Rylie realized there were FOUR of us that needed ice cream. I told her I only wanted one bite of hers and that was good. Later we pulled out the ice cream and I scooped her some of OUR'S into a bowl for her and during my second bite, she bluntly reminded me that I said i would only have ONE bite of hers.

* After going poop in the toilet she was proud it looked like a crocodile, space ship or you name it, she checks it out.

* walking hunched over and dragging her feet, she claims "she lost all of her energy".

* oh and by the way Rylie is a mom now. Just ask her, she has two kids of her own and since she is a mom she gets to do mom things. She is no longer a big girl, but a mom.

Race for the cure....

After a fun day at the ZOO! My cousin let us crash at her house with her cute family. Then we all got up bright and early and headed downtown SLC for the race for the cure. It was great to be apart of such an awesome event. To all support the same thing, no more breast cancer.
My cousin Tiff (in the pink survivor shirt) is a TWO year breast cancer survivor. We were more than happy to be apart of her team. She is an awesome cousin and better friend.
My kids did really good during the race, the picture doesn't look like they were happy, but I think they liked being apart of 18,000 people fighting for the same cause.
Check out this sea of people. This is about a mile long that you can see all the people, six lanes wide. Crazy and worth it!

Hogle Zoo

Another fun weekend for us. We headed out last Friday to Hogle Zoo. It was a great day there, not crowded and not stinky and hot. Rylie was so into EVERY animal this year. She couldn't get enough of the Monkeys, Chimps or whatever they were. They were very active and she laughed and laughed at them chasing around. Riding a giraffe on the carousel.

Bode was so ready to be out of the stroller...

check out this grin....

Fun pictures of the little dude! What a handsome boy you are!

who is ready to Camp!

Rylie really wants to go camping this summer. Since we are dealing with SNOW and RAIN in MAY, we put up a tent in the basement. Rylie "camped" out for two nights and had a blast. She and Bode loved playing in it!
