There is nothing better in the spring than nice sunny weather, green grass, and a chance to go to St. George to get it all. My family (minus one of my brothers and his family) all made the trek down south to enjoy it all. We had so much fun hanging out as a family and just playing. We hiked the red cliffs to the waterfall, played in the sand at snow canyon, biked, played at the pool, tennis, and went to every park we could find to just play! I love being able to spend time with family! Serious sunny pictures ahead....
Oh too cute! We never have pictures together!

something to celebrate...
We had a very fun reason for my family to head to St. George (post to come) and celebrate.
My mom turned the big 60 this year.
We celebrated by giving her 60 presents or things she loves like ... chapstick, daffodils, coke, green apples, black jelly beans, el sol, cadbury eggs, peeps, orange slices, raspberries, fresh salsa, avocados, fiesta ware, travel atlas, salt and vinegar chips, magazines, new pencils, quilting needles, etc... It was fun for all the kids to think of things MOM loves. I think she even got a bit embarrassed opening so many gifts!
Since MOM has 6 kids, we all wrote 10 things we love about her and put them in a jar. What an amazing women with so many compliments. I hope I can be half the mom and wife she is. It makes you want to be a better person for sure. Happy Birthday Mom, we sure do love you, look up to you, and want to be like you!! Obviously my kids adore their grandma, check out the picture of them fighting over her below.

1st ER visit...
My little Monkey has climbed so many things he should not have, he gets lots of bumps and bruises, but this time it was a little too much for mom to take and we took him to the ER. We were up visiting Bode's great grandparents who live in this log home. The railing for the loft and stair well is two logs. Bode started down the stairs on his belly and slid right under the railing and dropped about 8 feet or so to the carpet below. It happened so fast! He cried pretty hard and took a bit to calm him down, well quite a bit. We just really weren't sure if he was okay or not. We took him into the ER and he may have a small fracture on his hand behind his pointer finger, but there is not much they do for a child his age. So we just have to watch and make sure it still doesn't hurt him in about a week. I can't tell you how scary it was. I was so glad Mike was with me, my parents were able to meet us and grab Rylie, and that he is okay. The poor little guy is pretty shaken up and a bit sore, but will be okay. His great Grandma Kay had just painted Rylie's fingernails and Bode wanted his painted too. It just so happens that was the hand that had to be x-rayed.... too cute.

check out this pouty face...
I wouldn't give Bode my camera... can't imagine why. Everything gets treated like a ball. This is the sad face when he doesn't get his way.
Still pouting... but adorable!
Then seconds later a Happy Face! Bode likes to gallop around and say Happy, Happy, Happy
Good thing he is a Happy little guy to have around.
Good thing he is a Happy little guy to have around.
its all about the hat...
Rylie has a very talented Grandma and Great Grandma, they have crochet or knitted a ton of cute headbands and hats for Rylie. She has to have one on everyday! One Sunday Mike and Rylie went to visit and I stayed home with Bode who wasn't feeling a 100%. When they got home Rylie has FIVE new hats. She loves them and I am so glad she has Grandma's to make them for her. I have also got in on the headbands, they are nice and warm. Thanks Grandma Beak and Grandma Kay, we love you guys! Rylie and her hats...
I just wanted to point out all the little pet shop and little people having a parade in the window.
Everything needs to be "cute" or "adorable " right now. We are wearing a lot of dresses and doing a lot of twirls.
St. Pattys day, not sure what they were watching out the window, I think the garbage truck. Its a fun thing to watch, you know.

what a girl, all girl....
So after Disney on Ice, we hit one of my favorite stores, Costco. My Aunt Marcy (my mom's sister) met us there to visit since she lives in the SLC area. My Mom and Aunt Marcy where pushing Rylie around and she was telling them how adorable everything was. How she couldn't decide what swimsuit so she would just get both. How all the Easter dresses were just adorable. She loved the attention she was getting from them and they kept egging her on. Soon my aunt Marcy showed Rylie this dress with the sparkles, pink and a tutu skirt..... Man was Rylie excited and kept telling us it was so adorable and would be so cute on her. SO I gave in and got it, it is adorable and it does look cute on her. Next time I might have to give Marcy and Grandma and budget to work with.... ha ha.

disneyland...
Rylie told everyone that we were going to Disneyland, but went to Disney on ICE instead. She loved the shows and especially the princesses. She loved it when Minney Mouse turned into a Princess too. It was a cute show. Bode loved the lights and got so excited he would clap and clap and holler when people around us did. He was a big showoff, that lasted a bit and then it was time to check out the Energy Solution Arena! The second half of the show, Rylie and Bode polished off a Bucket of Popcorn and were entertained. Thanks for taking us Grandma Smith.
