My big girl and last day of summer!

Yes, my baby is growing up so fast! I guess that is a good thing since we will soon have a new addition to our family. She is all potty trained and doing great!
I didn't want her to ever out grow her crib. She never did try to climb out and slept really well in it. In fact, one day she told me she wanted a new bed and I was like, oh why? Because I can't get out of my crib. Oh!! But, I finally gave in and now she is sleeping like a champ in her big girl bed. She is pretty proud of it.

what a cheese!
Her big girl chattering.... *When I a mom, I am going to drink Diet Coke!
*When I a Dad, I am going to drink Mountain Dew!
*When I am a mom, then you (Mike) will be Grandma!
I sure hope she loves this new baby as much as her babies, they are pretty spoiled.
She is even wearing earrings (hair bows) and so is her dad. Good thing he is always willing to play dress up with her.
Last day of summer, I have to admit I have mixed emotions. I sure have had a great summer and am sad to think it is over. But on the other hand our new addition is almost here!! I posed on the beach, so everyone can see the belly. Everything is still going well!

I just realized where Rylie gets her Cheesy grins from!

HOT DOG ROAST...

Usually we camp several times a year, but not this year. We have not been once, so we decided to head up to my parents for a hot dog roast instead. It was a perfect night of dogs and smores! Mom, Dad, Erica, Jaiden, Camry, Kade joined in the fun.

Mom and Dad at the fire!

I know a flattering picture of me, but I am 8.5 months pregnant and don't really have a lap for Rylie anymore.

My dad showing off or something.

Cache Valley Century Ride

How about a 100 mile bike ride around Cache Valley. Well Mike was all for it and was making pretty good time when I got a call, quicker than I had expected (he was going to call me at the last rest stop so we could be at the finish line).... and he had blown a tire at the 83rd MILE. He spent some time trying a new tube and it would not hold due to the tire blown. So his great support (ME and Rylie) headed out to pick him up. I felt so bad that he had gone that far and wasn't going to finish the race. But instead, we drove with his broke down bike to Al's and got a new tire. It took a bit to replace it out, but once he did, we dropped him off where he broke down and he was back on his way. 17 MILES TO GO.... so we headed to the finish line to cheer him on. He had 4 miles to complete the 100 miles, when the spoke on his tire broke, he was able to keep going the last four miles, but the brakes would catch every revolution. How about that determination. He did it though, he made the 100 MILES. Way to go, we are proud of you!

way to go Mike!

Mike decided to participate in the Cache Valley Biathlon and did pretty darn good considering his training. The run was 5 miles and it the rain. It looked pretty awful to be honest. Running is bad enough, but running in a downpour is worse. The off to his favorite, the 16.5 mile bike ride. This he has trained for and did really good!

He finished the course in 1 hour, 45 minutes! I couldn't help but take this picture of them. Mike should have been pretty tired, but never too tired for Rylie! Rylie and I were the support! But because it was raining so hard, we played in the car until he would run/bike past us and then we would cheer him on and move to a different spot! Rylie showing off her treats while dad runs!

I hope this video works, this is for MIKE! Since we were hanging out all along the course this Cache County Sheriff stopped and talked to us and gave Rylie a Sheriff's badge, she thought it was pretty cool to be the "copper". And then came the singing of "bad boys" from the show cops. Yes Mike and Rylie enjoy their cops most Saturday nights. Pretty sad huh! Anyway, here is a video of her singing it.

Bear Lake 2009

Another summer favorite. We get to spend a WHOLE week at Bear Lake with my Mom's side of the family. She has four sisters and they all come including their kids and their grandkids. On a good night there is about 50 of us. All of my siblings and their families made it this year, it was a great time. It is such a fun vacation for all of us. My Grandma Meyer started this tradition when she was a child and it has been carried on for years. I hope my kids have as much fun at Bear Lake as I do. I know Rylie did, she was very upset with me that we had to come home after a week. She is just like me and would stay at Bear Lake all summer if we could! No really we would stay there all summer! On the 24th of July this year, there was a crazy storm that hit Bear Lake, the waves were over 4 feet tall and were like ocean waves. They had so much fun playing in them, it was crazy. The storm capsized 5 boats that day, we were thankful all of our families, their boats, and jet skis were all safe. Here is just a small sample of the pictures from the week.
Rylie had no fear of the water, none!

Bikini Babe!

Jet skiing with Dad!
This is the life, all the Cheetos she wanted!

July 4th...

Did I mention I love the 4th of July! I love the parades, bbq's, fireworks and spending time with our families. Here is my fam at the Lewiston Parade! Grandma Smith and Rylie! Playing on the bridge during the 4th of July BBQ

Grandpa Smith and Rylie (I think Rylie was going in for a cuddle)

One of the best parts about the 4th is the food!
