Happy 1st Birthday...

Happy 1st Birthday Bode. I can't believe he is ONE, where did the last year go? You have to love the curls. Mike doesn't want me to cut his baby curls off, so he will have a shag for awhile.

Autumn...

Another photo - op. I have always wanted to do our pictures in the wheat. The kids were a little small to be standing in the wheat and they didn't like it either. I might be using the family picture for our Christmas Cards too.

This is not for the weary

Oh man, this is a little disgusting, but it must be documented. Were we all in the car the other night and I look back and Rylie has her finger up her nose. I was like Rylie that is so disgusting don't pick your nose. I went on to tell her that burgers were waste her body didn't want and that is why her body kicks them out her nose. She proceded to tell me that it is okay if she eats her burgers, they taste good and she has TWO tummies and one of her tummies likes burgers. YIKES, I was laughing so hard. We will be working on this now, won't WE!

Let the adventures begin..

We are ready for adventures. We are the proud new owners of a 27 foot camping trailer. We decided to take it somewhere close over labor day weekend and give it a trial run. The trailer worked out great. We had a few hiccups along the way - we got to Bear Lake on Saturday, set up camp, went to the lake and then headed back to Logan to take Bode to instacare. He was pretty fussy the last few days and running a little fever, but Saturday night he was burning up and lethargic. He never cuddles or sits still, but he just laid in Mike's arms and wouldn't stay awake. So we decided to take him in and home for the night. Rylie was devastated she had been waiting all week to sleep in the trailer, so she cried the whole way home and had to wait and hour and half while we saw the doctor. Bode's little lungs were full of this mucus strings - almost pneumonia, good thing we took him in when we did. He is on an antibiotic and Tylenol/ ibuprofen and feeling a bit better. He was a trooper!! We went back over Sunday and hung out in the trailer, good thing it is big and has a slide out. At 7:30, both kids were in bed. They took turns being up for most the night, but we survived our first night in the trailer. My aunt and uncle came over for dutch oven breakfast and a good visit. Bode is doing better and better. Rylie got to sleep in her trailer, Mike and I are going to bed early tonight and we had an eventful labor day.

We are hoping to enjoy some family adventures with our new trailer.

what do you do when you all match - like Mike says a photo op. We were heading out the door for church when I realized we all matched (even Mike), but he said no more photo op's. so I took the opportunity to have a picture with my adorable kids.

Summer still happening

I agree with my friend Jill, the best time to go to the pool, is when everyone goes back to school. So for Mom and my sister that teach school, these picts are to rub it in that you are back in school and we are still playing! Here are some random pics from the last few days.... Rylie loves to play in my shoes, here she is showing off the shoes.

This is usually how I find BODE asleep, cuddling up with a blanket or laying on top of them, feet crossed and bum in the air. Adorable and he is finally resting at night.... I won't say sleeping all night.

and he's off...

Bode is off and walking. It started with a just a few steps and now he is going one one side of the room to the other. Way to go buddy! Big sister thinks she is so helpful.
