summer fun...

Oh man, summer is in full swing.  We thought it would be fun to create a new bucket list this summer.  We have been so crazy busy, kids have been playing so hard.  Don't you LOVE summer!
Yay for sport camp.  They both got to attend different ones and had a blast.  Rylie was at Skyview and Bode went to a neighbor camp.

Our buddies moved back to town and its been a blast having them here.

ice skating in the summer.  Perfect way to cool off.

Everyday has been spent in the water one way or another.  This slide was one of the highlights.  Our good friends put it together and man did the kids have fun.

Bike riding.  All day, everyday!

sidewalk chalk artist.  (I was kinda glad it rained so hard to wash my driveway)

Our ward had a party at the redneck slide.  Holy red neck is right!!  Rylie had a love/hate relationship with the steep slide.  Bode enjoyed the little one.

Our second home.  I really hate letting the kids play in the water like they are used because it becomes such a muddy mess.  so we spend a lot of time at the splash pad

more of May...

More May happenings...

The Black & White Days parade in Richmond.
Karden, Seth and Rylie waiting for candy.

Mike drove this truck in the parade with Bode.  Bode was loving it and Mike thought there was a TON of candy.  They were throwing it pretty liberally.  A few blocks into it, a few more kids in the back throwing candy and soon they were out and just had to wave!  HA HA

Oh yard work... no one warned how fun a new house is, but how horrible expensive and time consuming a yard is...  Bode playing in any mud he can and is in heaven doing it.

Ryie playing kickball at her field day at school.

Little dude just watching all the kids, trying to decide if he is ready for school or not.

Last day of school for Rylie, she has grown so much this year.  We are SO proud of her.

Gotta love a good dad!!  Mike volunteered for the dunk tank during the 1st grade school carnival.
How cool is that.  Rylie was pretty proud of her dad.

Bode really wanted his training wheels off, after a little practice he figured it out and we are now riding all over.  He loves to take us for bike rides.

dance recital 2014...

This is the night!  This is the night she has been waiting for all year long.  THE DANCE RECITAL!
She knew her jazz and ballet dance really well and did a great job!
Way to go Rylie!

We are wearing the same lipstick! She loved doing her makeup!
 I love my girl!
After the great performance, we celebrated at our house with banana splits... anyway you want them!
Grandpa & Grandma Smith and Beckstead celebrated the evening with us.

spring SOCCER wrapup...

OH I love being a soccer mom!  I helped this year with Rylie's team and it was a lot of fun!
Rylie has learned to love it and it makes me really happy.  I hope it continues for a long time.

 Eclipse!

The Beetles!

Bode was a nervous wreck playing, he hated being on the field without me!  But each time it got a bit better, we have some nervousness to work on.  He is just barely old enough to play but looks like he should be playing for years.  I hope next year is a little easier on him

We had two games without tears so he got to go get a snow cone.  It makes a great reward for Bode, check out the happiness NOW!

randomness...

Random May photo's..  the new house is great, the yard work is crazy expensive and its only beginning. Mike rented this equipment to do our rock walls. It was huge project, we had to call in back up, Thankfully my dad came down and helped! He even brought down his tractor to help us move rocks.  It made a huge difference.

Thank you Dad!  We really needed you!

Biking to school!  Rylie LET us go a few times with her.  Its fun going down hill to school, but riding home up the hill is a bit challenging.  Both kids are becoming quite the bicyclist!!  She rode with friends and thinks she was pretty big to just go.  I can't believe how much she has grown.

Bode loves playing on my phone, including taking photos and selfies!

Mike and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary!
We got a sitter and went to Coppermill, we were glad to fit that in with all that was going on that week!  it was a nice night out.  Yes, its been 9 blissful years.

Health Days 2014...

As a kid, I remember coming down to Health days and celebrating with my Grandma & Grandpa Meyer.  We parked at his main street building and would watch the parade.  Afterwards we would head to their house for BBQ lunch.  When we moved to Smithfield 9 years ago, my Grandma's health was started to deteriorate, so I offered to take over the tradition.  We still got to have a couple Health Days together.  My grandparents have since passed away, but holding the BBQ lunch afterwards is still a favorite tradition.  Health days 2014!

Bode caught on that if you wave, the more candy they would throw.

Rylie choose to be in the parade this year with Serendipity Dance.  She is by her friends in the blue jacket.  It was rainy and cold, but then cleared off nice for the parade.

Bode & Rylie waiting for BBQ

My mom & dad, Erica & Jeff, and my little family enjoyed the traditional lunch and enjoyed just hanging out together.

Finished off the night with a lion pup, the blue sox game and fireworks.  (fireworks from the house, way to cold to hang out any longer at the baseball field)
