A birthday for a Sunbeam...

Rylie got to go to Primary this year and loves being a Sunbeam. She comes home just singing her little heart out. My sunbeam, we are sure proud of her....
Her new birthday outfit...

And Happy 4th Birthday to Rylie.... Today we had a spectacular princess birthday party with family. Complete with a princess hats, princess cupcakes, home made ice cream (yum) and an adorable Rapunzel cake, just what she wanted. She got pretty spoiled again, she sure is loved. I can't believe and I can believe that she is four - she loves learning, being a real princess, teasing her little brother and giving the best snuggily hugs.

Happy Birthday Princess!

Blowing out the candles, all four of them.

A close up of the cake, it was SUCH a pain, but worth it when Rylie saw the finished product and said "wow" with a big grin. We loved the movie Tangled!

Opening presents, thank you so much for spoiling her on her birthday. She loved all the gifts!

What an amazing birthday for such a princess.

Christmas Morning....

My last post of Christmas... THIS YEAR! I love Christmas and wanted to document our everyday activities. I Love Family Traditions...... I love all 25 days of it and am in disbelief come Christmas Day Night and it is all over with. Enough said... Christmas Morning at our house, check it out!

Santa brought Bode his TWO rolls of wrapping paper that he uses as bonking sticks instead. Everytime we were shopping and passed one he would beg to use it on someone or something.
Rylie was so excited that Santa brought the right barbies, way to go big guy!

Rylie's new scooter, she is trying to be so big.
And Mike went ahead and got him his own Christmas Present...
Okay, enough Christmas photos, on to 2011. 2010 was awesome and we were so blessed. I can only imagine what 2011 brings and look forward to it.

Christmas Eve...

OH man, I downloaded all these pics backwards. oops. Well to end Christmas Eve, Grandma and Grandpa Smith gave all the grandkids matching pj's. Adorable, just missing a few cousins, but here is the Smith Grandkids. Bode and Oakley would not stay out of the fireplace, I think they were looking for Santa?
Rylie opening presents.

The Navitivty - The kids love this and Grandma is so good at dressing them all up. This year we had twins as Jesus (bode and oakley), hoping one might sit still. We either had no babies or both, it was too cute.

Rylie was a sheep. She took her part very serious and baaaaaaaaed the whole time the Nativity was read.

Before all fun, my mom made a very good dinner and set a beautiful table. It makes the meal even better when the table is set so gorgeous. I love CHRISTMAS EVE, it is magical. I LOVE being home for Christmas and then bringing my little family back Home for Christmas. I love, love Christmas Eve. Christmas morning and day to come.

A gingerbread village...

we LOVE peanut butter and kiss cookies, its a family tradition. This year for a family party we also made Reindeer cookies. If you need a idea for a treat, they were pretty fun to make. A little hard to get the antlers to stay in the warm cookie. Rudolph cookies, we even saved some to give to Santa.

And the Gingerbread Christmas Village... It was fun to decorate 5 little houses, versus one big one.
still more fun to come...

what a get away...

We were pretty lucky to get away for a few days and stay in SLC. We went with one of Mike's brother and his sister and their families. We had a blast and it was pretty hard to come home. I think this may have to become a new Christmas Tradition.

Temple Square was crazy with people, it kinda took away from the temple grounds, but we just had to look past the people to the lights.
Temple Square - Love my Family!
Bundled warm and tight in the stroller with their new build a bear "Bear" and "Monkey".
Gunner, Holly and Rylie all washing their new build a bears. It was fun for them to build their own bears. They are so happy with them and sleep with them at night.
Riding the Trax to downtown from the hotel. That is the way to travel for sure, Rylie loved it and Bode was so happy to not be strapped down.
Took a train ride at the South Towne Mall and did some Christmas Shopping.
This is why we were able to do some shopping at the mall, both kids took a good nap in the stroller after swimming all morning. Love this double stroller, its a life saver.
Jumping on the hotel beds, oh yes you can at a hotel. Jump all you want to.

We were loading the luggage and Rylie and Bode thought the luggage carrier was a jungle gym. It doesn't take much for us to be entertained.
Can't get enough of swimming at the hotel, we missed it a ton and it was great for the kids. Such a pleasant, relaxing, and precious time together weekend.
