Can you believe how fast this summer is going by, it is going way to fast for me. This is what the Beckstead Family has been up too.....
I had to work an 8-5 shift during an audit at my work. I am only used to working until noon, it about killed me. I have way more respect for those mom's who do it all. I was exhausted after just one week.
The baby is growing great and everything still looks good. We are on a count down of about 8 weeks, so I guess that means it time to get ready too.
Of course the envelope is still sealed, I am holding strong on not finding out what we are having until he/she is here!!
Enjoyed BBQ's, fireworks, parades and more BBQ's over the 4th of July (post to come)
Congratulations to Kenny(Mike's brother) and Renea on getting married.
Being lazy and enjoying the sunshine, BBQ's, picnic's, shade and our own back yard.
Spent a week at Bear Lake with my mom's side of the family. One of my favorite vacations!! (another post to come)
Hanging out at the pool, this has became a favorite of Rylie's. Its hard to get her out of the pool after a full day of swimming. I think she turned part fish this summer.

Off to Wyoming...
We started off the Summer by heading to Gillette, Wyoming to visit my brother and his new wife. It was a crazy and fun trip. First of all the drive is supposed to be about 9 hours and it took us 12 plus getting there and 14 plus to get home. Being 7 months pregnant, my doctor wanted me to get out of the car every hour and half and walk around but we all needed breaks. So the drive was long, but it was so worth it and so much fun. We did have to rent a vehicle big enough for all of us my mom, my sister and her two girls and me and Rylie all piled into a Durango for the trek. Here is Rylie navigating the map, she figured out that we were " following the pink road" (interstate ) until we got to Uncle Spenny's.
My mom bought all the girls cute Wyoming Cowboy boxers to sleep in.

Laura packed us an awesome picnic (she fed us very well during the whole trip) that we enjoyed at the Roughlock falls.

Look who loves her mom!

We made it to Mt Rushmore and arrived in style, by train. We took a 1800's train to from one to the next, it was Rylie's highlight. She got to meet the conductor and practice her Choo Choo!! (pictures to come later).

summer fun begins
Summer has begun! Lunch at Mack's Park with the Beckstead Cousins. Too bad it turned off so hot that day.
Fun with our friends Alex and Maren at the park and then a picnic. It doesn't get any better than this.
And we got to watch the Blue Sox Baseball team while enjoying a Lion Pup and eating Cracker jacks. This is the life. Can't wait for the rest of Summer!Mike helping Rylie with her "lion pup" aka Hot Dog!

Memorial Day...
We decided to take off for a few days and head to the big town of SLC. (I know, we are crazy). It turned out to be a lot of fun. We spent some serious time shopping, swimming in the hotel, letting Rylie jump on the hotel beds, eating out and then off to Hogle Zoo. It was raining pretty good and I was worried she wouldn't last, but she was a trooper. In fact the Zoo was a blast since there weren't too many people there and we had misters on us all day. The rainy weather was quite nice I didn't get the camera out too much, cuz of the rain, but here are a few shots.
All bundled up with a beach towel, to stay dry. There was no way her Favorite Blankie was going to get wet.

Its a Girl OR...
Boy! Well we will just say its a Baby! No, we didn't find out last week the sex of the baby. The ultrasound all looked good! We had the technician, write it down for us and then she sealed it in an envelope. She was a 100% sure of the gender. Mike was okay with this because he doesn't think I can wait until September to find out. BUT as surprised as everyone is, I really want to wait until the baby is here. So sorry, you all get to wait too.
The sealed envelope and yes (to crunch) it's still sealed and hidden, have a little faith!

Health Days!
Health Days is the first parade of the year. For many, many years we would go to S town and watch the parade with my parents and my Grandpa and Grandma Meyer. After the parade, Grandma Meyer would always have a BBQ lunch afterwards. When we moved to S town several years ago, It was time for me to take over the tradition for Grandma. Grandma got to take a few years off of doing lunch, but she never missed the parade. Grandma's lunch included BBQ, pickles and olives, sliced swiss cheese, a salad or fresh fruit and Brownies for dessert. I hope to keep her tradition alive at Health Days. I sure miss her this time of year, since she passed away. Here is Rylie waiting with her bag for the best part of the parade, CANDY!
