randomness...

Random May photo's..  the new house is great, the yard work is crazy expensive and its only beginning. Mike rented this equipment to do our rock walls. It was huge project, we had to call in back up, Thankfully my dad came down and helped! He even brought down his tractor to help us move rocks.  It made a huge difference.

Thank you Dad!  We really needed you!

Biking to school!  Rylie LET us go a few times with her.  Its fun going down hill to school, but riding home up the hill is a bit challenging.  Both kids are becoming quite the bicyclist!!  She rode with friends and thinks she was pretty big to just go.  I can't believe how much she has grown.

Bode loves playing on my phone, including taking photos and selfies!

Mike and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary!
We got a sitter and went to Coppermill, we were glad to fit that in with all that was going on that week!  it was a nice night out.  Yes, its been 9 blissful years.

Health Days 2014...

As a kid, I remember coming down to Health days and celebrating with my Grandma & Grandpa Meyer.  We parked at his main street building and would watch the parade.  Afterwards we would head to their house for BBQ lunch.  When we moved to Smithfield 9 years ago, my Grandma's health was started to deteriorate, so I offered to take over the tradition.  We still got to have a couple Health Days together.  My grandparents have since passed away, but holding the BBQ lunch afterwards is still a favorite tradition.  Health days 2014!

Bode caught on that if you wave, the more candy they would throw.

Rylie choose to be in the parade this year with Serendipity Dance.  She is by her friends in the blue jacket.  It was rainy and cold, but then cleared off nice for the parade.

Bode & Rylie waiting for BBQ

My mom & dad, Erica & Jeff, and my little family enjoyed the traditional lunch and enjoyed just hanging out together.

Finished off the night with a lion pup, the blue sox game and fireworks.  (fireworks from the house, way to cold to hang out any longer at the baseball field)

field trip...

This year I did a joyschool with Bode.  He has absolutely loved it, learned so much, and has grown so much.  I find doing a joyschool super fun and fun to be with him as he learns so much.
It was our turn to plan a field trip, so I was asking Bode if he wanted to go to the fire station, ride a bus, or ....   He exclaimed he wanted to do both.  So being the awesome Teacher I am, we made it happen.  Loaded the Cache Valley Transit Bus and rode it to the North Logan fire department.  The fire department were so cute with the kids.
After an awesome tour we loaded up on the bus again and headed home.
On the bus, Bode, Jonah, Carlee, Joslynn

Bode the fireman

He got to put out a fire by squirting water out of a fire extinguisher, it was the highlight of the day.

Easter 2014...

Happy Easter!
We headed to Mack's park in the morning for the town Easter egg hunt.  We were dragging our feet  about going, but Bode really wanted to go.  I decided he won't be little forever and we took off.  It was adventurous and over in minutes!
After some serious soccer playing, we hopped down the bunny trail at Lee's.

Easter morning is pretty exciting around here.  Rylie was up at like 6:00 and checked out the eggs in the main room, she even was selective in the eggs she was gathering.  She saved Bode some eggs to find and their was a new ball and soccer net in the front room.  They were pretty excited and gathered the eggs pretty quick.  Bode decided to go downstairs and what do you know....  ton more eggs, easter clothes, baskets, summer toys and then it was CRAZY!  The bunny totally through Rylie off this year.

Heading to church in our new Easter outfits!
The kids sang at church and it was beautiful!

Headed up to Mom & Dad's for a cousin Easter egg hunt and a delicious Easter Dinner.

What a wonderful day!

spring happenings...

Spring Soccer!  Got to love it.  I love to watch my kids grow.  This is Bode's first year and he is barely old enough to play and he is a bit nervous.  Ok, a lot nervous!  but hopefully he learns to love it.

This is their TOUGH faces!

Rylie's Portuguese culture night!  What a party!  They learned "let it go" from Frozen in Portuguese and other songs and dances.  She has learned so much and is loving it.
She is on the second row from the back... look hard.

And a close up when we got home!  Way to go Rylie!

Spring break fun!

Bode got to go feed cows with Grandpa, his favorite thing.
Enjoying the sunshine.

Some days its just not worth getting dressed.  Bode and I have been known to not even get dressed until we have too.  He could play legos all day in his superman jammies.

Spring break was super fun this year.  It was a little different being home all week.
We played, relaxed, and had a lot of fun all week.

We got to go ...
lots of parks,
ice skating,
rollerblading,
bowling,
day with cousins,
put away warm clothes and bring out the spring/summer clothes,
fun with friends, friends, and friends.
