a lot of posts

Prepare for a lot of posts.  I wanted to post Rylie back to school today, but realized I have almost all summer to catch up on.  As  I was trying to sort pictures, I wondered if anybody still looks at the blog or has it just become my journal.  I love keeping up the blog because I am never caught up on scrapbooking.  I feel I can keep track of it all better.  So let me know if you still check it out or if its just for me.

Camping...

1st camping trip of the season wasn't very far away, but was very fun!!  We met some good friends up Green Canyon for the weekend.  The kids love just being out and about, and really love camping.  This is how Bode camps, DIRTY!

This was Bode's "little lizard" and he was in love with it.  Carried it all the way down the canyon, loved it, dropped it, squished it, fed it, dropped it.  He was so proud of it and I think he mauled it.  I finally convinced him to put it in a tree so his family could come find him again.  He really didn't want to part with it, but his little lizard wasn't coming home with me

still going...

As you know, we have moved into my parents home for a few months (house progress to come).  Living with them brings many adventures, opportunities and fun on the farm.  I don't think I will ever get Bode back to the city.  My parents have been so gracious sharing their home with us.  My kids have such an opportunity to get to know my parents on a whole new level.  It's priceless, I don't think they will forget this summer.  And they LOVE my parents!

Bode and Grandpa on the tractor.
Bode has learned all about tractors, all about cutting, raking and baling hay,
and feeding the bucking bull.

Playing in the water, its a daily event around here!!

and the mud!

Meeting friends at the park!  Rylie loves being with her buddies.

Swim lessons!  I never got a picture of Rylie because this little guy was not so sure about leaving mom for 50 minutes!!  He made it and by the end was doing really well

Rylie played T-ball and loved it!
She has grown up so much, plus it was fun to have her friends on the team.

going for hike, can you believe this view!

More swim lessons...

"BE THE ONE" was the theme for girls camp.  Even though we have moved out of the ward, we decided to stay in our old ward for awhile and I helped out with girls camp. We sure had a fun camp and a lot of fun at Bear Lake.  I will miss the young women in the ward for sure.  They are pretty amazing young ladies.

Ward SPLASH party, water balloon games and slip & slide.  The kids had such a blast, man they are growing up on me.

Instead of going to the pool one day, we decided to make our own water party.  Complete with two pools, and a slip and slide.  Can't beat it on a hot day
Rylie's best little friend Hannah joined us.

Hanging out on the farm with Jax!

june happenings

Man has it been a roller coaster...  we had such a crazy last week of school.  Moved out of our house that Saturday, cleaned carpets and got it ready for the people that bought it.  I was did pretty good holding it all together until the day we closed, then the tears came.  I have a lot of special neighbors and special memories in that home, but look forward to creating more memories in my new house!
(New post on the home to come)

Rylie had a WAAAYYY loose tooth and with all the craziness of moving, we weren't sure how this was all going to happen.  We decided to write a note to the tooth fairy telling her we live at Grandpa and Grandma Smith's so she would not be confused when the tooth came out.  Well she lost it at our home, but we were sleeping at Grandma Smith's.  She put it under her pillow and the tooth fairy brought her $2 dollars, then when were making a final run through our home, we came upon Rylie's note and guess what another dollar.  Pretty lucky girl

This tree was on the corner of the lot and the kids miss climbing in it.  This was the last time in the tree!  What a cute pair of monkeys

Have I mentioned, I have some really good friends in our old subdivision.  Well, we had a  little shindig before we moved so the kids could play.

Free fishing day!  YES!!!  I am the best mom ever!  My kids had fishing on their summer bucket lists, so I braved the crowd and went to Willow Park and fished.  No, we didn't catch anything but we sure tried for a good couple hours.  We also went to the all the booths about the Bear River and got free t-shirts.  Can't say we will do this every year, but they sure had a good time trying.

This nice gentleman from the Cache Anglers tied flies with the kids and man was intensive and man was he patient.  He was so cute with the kids.

Feeding fish/ ducks at the dam!
Oh the start of summer and we have a lot of fun planned.

Rylie had her spring dance recital.  They were the little ballerina's on top of a jewelry box.  She has grown so much and loves going to dance class.  She knew all her steps and did such a great job.
My little ballerina~

We ended the BIG night by making banana splits at our house and hanging out with Grandpa and Grandma Smith, Grandpa and Grandma Beckstead, Sharon and kids.
What a fun night for such a sweet little girl

may happenings..

Black and White Day Parade in Richmond.  It rained hard right up until the parade started, but then it turned out to be a pretty nice night.

Rylie and  Bode showing off the their favorite couch at Grandpa Beckstead's store.

Great, Great Grandma Thelma turned 98 this month.  My kids are so lucky to enjoy all this time with great grandparents.  Rylie was a little annoyed that I didn't give Grandma a present at her birthday party, I told her that at her age she just wants us to come visit her.  Then I told her when I am 98, I want presents and she agreed to that.  Happy Birthday!
