home sweet home...

Well it took six months, it was a bit stressful, a bit fun, a bit nail biting, a few tears, a lot of stress, but its done.  We love it and am so glad to be all moved in right before the holidays.

Not the best picture, but its too cold to go outside and take one.  We picked the coldest days so

The moving crew, they worked so hard to get us all moved in.

My father in law took off and said he would be right back after we finished bringing in the furniture.  I had to go get Rylie from school and get the guys lunch for helping.  when I got back, he had went and got us a tree.  I loved it and was so excited.  Rylie then broke in our house the first night by getting sick, I mean she really broke in their bathroom, but thankfully stayed off the carpet.
with a sick child, we got the tree decorated first thing.  Love it and ready for the holidays.

Happy Birthday Bode...

Happy 4th birthday to the sweetest little boy!!  He was so excited to turn four and talked about it for days.  We had the best birthday planned for him...  family came up to the farm for a cowboy shindig.  We had a hotdog roast, rides on the saddle, hayride to see the baby cows, bucking bull birthday cake and lots & lots of presents.  It was a dream come true for this little guy

(Bode is trying to act like a tough cowboy)

Hayride - look at Bode in the front.  HE is so in his element.
The Bucking Bull cake - his job was to feed Grandpa's bull all summer.
This cake was perfect for the little farmer he has become.

Lots of presents from his grandpa & grandma's, aunts & uncles, and cousins.

gardening

We planted a garden at my parents home.
A huge garden, we weren't sure if it would grow or not,
so we planted double and it grew triple amounts.
It was a crazy!

truck load of squash

This is only about third of the carrots, we grew purple ones too!

first crop of cucumbers, I love cucumbers and really ate my heart out.
but sometimes there is too much of a good thing...

This is the pumpkin that Rylie grew from a seed last year in kindergarten, she was pretty excited about it!  I was quite impressed.

Bode using his dump truck to haul pumpkins to the porch.

I have bottled beans, peaches, and salsa every year.
This year I (well my mom with me assisting) bottled for my new cold storage
21 quarts of green beans
7 quarts of apple pie filling
2 different types of pickles
apricot syrup and jam
beets
carrots
I can't wait to line the shelves of my new cold storage

more pumpkin pictures, can you even find my kids.
we grew 80+ pumpkins
