1st dam...

We thought we would head out one day in the beautiful fall weather to first dam.
We fed the ducks TWO loafs of bread and had a picnic.

Then we headed up the canyon to the Stokes Nature Center trial.  What a beautiful day and the kids had a blast just playing.

Fall is SOOO my favorite time of year!  i love the cool nights and warm days, the color of the leaves,  and the smell of autumn.

Conference Weekend...

What a beautiful weekend and the weather was absolutely gorgeous over conference weekend.  When Mike came home from work Friday night, he informed me we were taking off for the weekend.  Island Park, here we come!!  You know I am always up for a road trip.

We joined up with some of his family at his Aunt and Uncle's cabin.   They are always so generous to let us come stay.  We headed to West Yellowstone to the Bear and Wolf Discovery Center where Rylie and Holly got to feed the bears!

After an hour long class about being Bear Aware, they got to go hide their food.

See that big stump off to the side, the girls hid a tone of food under it, it took one big swipe and he had that tipped over so quick.

Bode was JUST so excited to RUN and be out of the car.

 Cousins!

Us girls headed back to the cabin to hang out and visit.  The guys went to the priesthood session in West Yellowstone, its pretty neat to see them all go.

The next day, Uncle Billy took us on a four-wheeler - razor ride.  We rode up above their cabin to an old ski tow rope and then up to two tops.  The kids LOVED the razor and cannot stop talking about it.

Look at the smiles!

As we were heading home, Billy and Sallie were hanging out on their deck.  They have absolutely loved their cabin and the Island Park Area as the rest of us that get the opportunity to use it.
I thought this was a cute picture of them!
THANK YOU Billy and Sallie

happenings...

The latest happenings with the Beckstead Family!  Got a lot of catching up to do on the blog.

We purchased this boat... but it had a cracked engine block (whatever that means) and Mike fixed it all up.  We took it out to Twin Lakes for a test drive and to make sure it didn't sink.
The kids could not wait to try it out and fought over who gets to be his co-captain.

At the Aggie Homecoming Parade!!

This what Bode wants to do EVERYDAY all DAY, either dig in the sandbox with his tractors or ride his new Birthday bike.  He is getting so fast on it and tricky, he makes me a little nervous.

Happy Happy Birthday...

Happy Birthday #3 to Bode!!
This guy with his new haircut, new attitude and went and turned THREE years old.
He couldn't wait for his day, it started with birthday pancakes, happy meal and Mcdonalds, playing at the park and making Birthday cakes.

Then we had our families down for a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH and He was SPOILED!  He picked his cake out, its a DIGGING cake.   Perfect for a little boy who loves his trucks, tractors, and digging in the sandbox.

 The Diggin Cake!

Lots of presents for the little guy.... we is so spoiled on his big day.

And the biggest surprise of all, a new BOY bike (no more riding Rylie's pink one)

And the party kept going, Mike and Bode's Birthdays are one day apart.   We always have a big to do for the kids and just celebrate our way on our days.  Well since Mike was turning 35, he felt old!!  He was whining and worrying about being so old and where did life go....   so he had to leave right before everyone got there and go pick up Rylie from Dance.  While he was gone, I had everyone hide the clown noses I gave them until we sang to Mike.  Mike is afraid of clowns, really afraid.  It was perfect he thought it was all for Bode, but once everyone put their nose on and sang to him, he freaked out a little.  It was good for him since he is SO old.

The old MAN and his CLOWN cake!

Our families sporting the Clown noses, how awesome is this!

Then we celebrated the next night at Texas Roadhouse, all Mike wanted for his birthday was a Steak!  Birthday boys on the saddle.  Happy Birthday to my two favorite guys!
