HD and the tooth fairy

Health Day Celebration... this is one of my favorite parades of the year, because of where we live, the town celebration, its the first one of the year, and because I celebrated Health Days with my Grandpa and Grandma Meyer when I was little.

We were enjoying the parade and all the candy, when Rylie's front tooth came out.  She was a bit freaked out and so was I because I didn't realize how loose it actually was.  Pretty exciting!!!
That day we made a tooth pillow so the tooth fairy could find that first tooth and sure enough
that night the tooth fairy came and brought her TWO dollars.

She has been begging for color in her hair and we agreed on a  streak of purple.
My how she is growing up!

Soccer...

Rylie got to play soccer this year and was WAY excited.  It took a few games for her to catch on to the game, but she sure hustled.  She played goalie one game and made some good stops.  Her 2nd to last game she came SOOOO close to scoring a goal and got all excited.  Then on the last game, she played defender one quarter and then she was put in as forward in the last quarter and she took the ball to the net and SCORED!    She was so excited and a bit in shock that she did it!   And man was she proud and so were we!

happenings...

My new babysitter, we finally got our sandbox all done and the kids LOVE it.
They have spent hours in it all ready.

Summit Elementary turned 100 years old!  My mom is Summit Elementary Alumni, so she took Rylie to the celebration and to show her the May Pole Dance.  My mom was so willing to teach us, just need 24 girls.  It was fun for Rylie to spend time with Grandma and they even got slurpees.

Rylie loves to bike!   We have been riding bikes to preschool which is about  2.5 miles from our house to her school.  The round trip is about FIVE miles .  Bode and I get about 10 miles in each day.  But it has been so fun for her to ride that far and she is pretty proud of herself.

some adorable kids...

A photo shoot for Mother's Day all SIXTEEN Smith Grandkids!   I think they are all a bunch of cute kids, but getting them all to smile and hold still was quite a chore....

Until we told them to pull crazy faces!

library storytime...

Rylie and her best buddy Hannah have been attending storytime at the library for years!  They LOVE Miss Karen and LOVE being together.  Rylie LOVED storytime, the projects, the kids and especially Miss Karen.  She made it so much fun for all the kids.  Thank you Miss Karen!

Bode and his vroom vroom...

Bode loves anything with a motor... we are talking snowplows, lawn mower, snow blower, four wheelers, tractors, tractors, did I mention ANY type of TRACTOR!   We inherited this four wheeler and thought we would fix it up for him one day.  Well it is his best friend, it must not go back into the shed, it has become a great babysitter!   He pretends to ride it for hours, if he disappears, I know this is where I will find him.  Guess we better get it up and running for him!

St. George vacation

We had the best time in St. George for a few days.  Enjoyed hiking, swimming, parks, and playing.
Hiking the narrows and the D.
This is old stomping ground for me and I enjoy going there every spring!

 My CUTE family!

Our wonderful tour guides, Uncle Spencer and Aunt Laura!

Mike tried (kinda) to get through the narrows!  It got a little narrow on him and he decided to turn around, I think he could have made it!   But no one wanted to go push him out if he got stuck and Rylie was a bit nervous about his leaving us!
Love the trip to St. George, hope next year all the family goes and we make it a big party again!

St. George vacation part 2...

St George vacation part 2, my pics are all out of order but what do you do

Swimming with Daddy at the pool.
We love the warm weather, sunshine, green grass and such a fun getaway.

Hiking at Red Rock Springs, Bode got closer and closer to the water.  Then his toes, up to his knees, then his shorts were wet and soon enough, he slipped in and took a little dip.

Rylie got the reward for the best cannon balls, Spencer got the reward for best swimmer!

Just chillin in the water, all relaxed!

Rylie was a pro hiker this year, last year she wasn't into it all

We hiked the anazani petrogliffs trail, well Mike pushed them in the stroller, it was about 3.5 miles round trip.  The petrogliffs were awesome and everywhere.  the kids had a blast finding them all over the rocks.
The St. George city water park, we spent some serious time here.  What a fun place for the kids to play in the water, the river, and climb the rocks.  Plus it kept them cool!

Me hiking the Red Cliffs waterfall.  We didn't take the kids on it since you have to use a rope swing to get them up there.
