July 4th...

HAPPY 4TH of July! We got up bright and early and headed to Lewiston to the parade this year with my family. It wasn't the best parade this year, but its Tradition. Rylie and Bode got new patriotic outfits! Getting these two to smile is AWFUL right now.

Rylie & Grandma Smith - Bode and Grandpa Smith... waiting for the parade to start.

Rylie was intrigued with this flag put out by the boy scouts. She sat under it for a long time just watching it blow in the wind. I had to get a photo.

We enjoyed another cookout at mom & dad's after the parade. The Steak was cooked perfectly and it was fun to just hang out. We then headed home for naps before another Cookout. We then headed up to celebrate with the Beckstead's over dutch oven ribs. YUM! Rylie, Holly, Gunner and Bode walked along the Siphon and thought it was the coolest thing ever. This pipe carries water from Twin Lakes to the canals for irrigation. Rylie was so excited to do it and it is cool to hear the water run threw it.

Dad and Rylie on the Siphon

Bode wanted to do it too...

What a Fabulous 4th of July. I am so proud to be an American! I am so blessed. We ended the long weekend of celebrations by watching the Lewiston fireworks on our way home.

Happy 4th of July

and

The END!

July 3rd...

We were heading to church when Rylie decided she needed a LITTLE lipstick.

" Just a Little LIPSTICK mom."

Gotta love this girl, she definately is all GIRL>

July 2nd...

On Saturday we braved the CRUISE IN with everyone else in Logan! Bode was really into the cars and was just a waving to each car with so much excitement. After the cruise in, Erica hosted a cookout. It was so fun to hang out enjoy some good food, good company and car cupcakes.

Jeff and Erica. Jeff did a great job manning the grill and he made my blog. Bode, Karden and Rylie
Zach, Carson, Taylor, Kylie, Camry and Jaiden.

Thanks for having us over Erica. It was a GREAT night.

July 1st...

I love the fourth of July! It is right up there and competing with Christmas. We started off the LONG weekend with a BBQ cookout at our house with the Beckstead's and then watched the Fireworks. What an awesome weekend, watching fireworks makes me emotional, in a good way. I just get so overwhelmed with how BLESSED I am.

I was trying to get a cute pic of these two and neither would participate.
Notice the fun 4th of July decorations in Rylie's hair.

Red, white, blue & stars and stripes. We go all out around here.

Sparklers after dark! Now i have to admit i love to do sparklers, there is something so exciting about them. Holly had her Jammies on, so Rylie wanted hers and of course she had to pick them out. What a girl. She has so much fun with her cousin Holly. ( I wish I would have got a picture of them together) they love this night.

Bode thought the sparklers where cool, check out those big brown eyes.

beach boys concert

Mike, his brothers, his one brother in law and Dad were meeting at our house to go to the Beach Boy Concert. When the doorbell rang Mike's dad "Crunch" showed up at our house ready to roll in his Beach boy attire.

Check him out.

They had a great time, did a lot of titterin and I heard they even got dancing a bit.

Crunch and his BEACH BOY ATTIRE!! Sid, Crunch, Jared, Mike, Kenny and Kevin.... Ready to Roll!

I was disappointed he changed his outfit before he left. I think his BOYS would have appreciated him wearing it all night.

swim lessons...

We just finished up TWO weeks of swim lessons for Rylie. She was in a class of FIVE girls and their teacher called them princesses. They ate it up. She moved up a couple levels and did awesome. She loves to swim and had so much fun.

The Princesses....
Bode thought he was so big standing against the fence like his Big Sis...

Bode patiently waiting for his time to swim. After going under many, many times he did a little better about being careful. What a kid.

bluesox game...

I love playing softball, watching softball and baseball. I could do it every SUMMER night if it was possible. Not Mike's favorite pasttime, but we agree on Lion Pups and watching the blue sox a few times a year. Or ONCE if you are Mike.

Take me out to the ball game....
