Check this out....

I have to show off my first sewing project. I saw a quilt like this on line and thought I could do that for Rylie's new room. And here is the finished project. It took me hours to sew all the squares. But I left the project on my kitchen table, so I had to work on it whenever my little ones would let me. My favorite part was buying the material and cutting it out. I love all the different colors and material in it. Just want to brag for a minute.... The squares are fraying to give it that shabby/ shaggy look.

On her bed, in her room. Her colors are cream, white and raspberry.

Mike's aunt Sallie machine quilted the whole thing and did a beautiful job. And Mike's mom did the binding for me. She saved me tons on hours on the quilt that I don't have.

The latest....

This is how we roll, we got a double stroller! I am loving it, we head out and can go anywhere. After a good work out for me, we end up at the park. I am loving having this stroller. They both fell asleep in it on the way home, guess I can't be out all day anymore!! Bode is snug as a bug in the stroller.

This picture of Rylie is after a very FUN long weekend with daddy. Bode and I were at Bear Lake scrapbooking all weekend. It was so much fun for me, but let me tell you about Rylie's weekend when Dad is in charge. Walk to the park and then go for root beer floats. They went to Beto's, shopping, and up to Grandma & Grandpa Beak's for a BBQ with family, riding bikes with cousins and going on the BIG swings. Then Dad took her on a Daddy Daughter date to Texas Roadhouse and then spent the day with Family. By the time I got home Sunday night she was one tired, but Happy girl to spend all weekend with Dad.

Fun in the Sun pictures!!

Baby Animal Day...

We ventured out to Baby Animal Day on Saturday and man was it crazy. Rylie likes to see the animals, but not into touching them.
The baby bears were adorable, I would take one home if they different grow up.
As many of you probably noticed, Petersen's had a animal day too. So I made Mike pull over and check out the Zebra. We should have saved our money and went there first.

Easter 2010

Another Holiday at the Becksteads with a TON of pictures. I absolutely love Easter, the reason for Easter, the Easter candy, spring outdoor toys, Easter candy, bubbles, Easter candy, sidewalk chalk, flip flips, Easter clothes, Dresses and did I mention Easter Candy. We did the Easter Egg hunt at Mack's Park in the snow and then the bunny hop at Lee's. Then we decorated eggs Saturday, it was a jammed pack fun day. Matching MONKEY jammies from the bunny.
The Easter Bunny gets a little crazy at our house, we must have real good kids. He brought Easter baskets full of toys, clothes, eggs, etc and then hid eggs inside and outside of our house. The bunny left a big pink egg in Rylie's pillow, she was so excited about it in the morning she ran by everything else and had to show me the egg he left in her room. Here is the Easter morning....

Bode's first Easter....

Candy in her swing too, look at that excitment
Then off to a Easter Egg Hunt with my Family, my parent's house still has a ton of snow, so we had the Easter Egg hunt downtown. Cousins are ready to go....Bode found candy too, he loves to bite on Nerd boxes.

Mike and Rylie chasing down eggs
Grandma Smith and Bode, I think he might be tired.

What else do you do on a snow day... in April!

When you wake up to INCHES of snow, what do you do. Do you like the idea of using all the outside toys we just got out of the shed for Rylie to play with. The best part was we just had our lawn aerated and when we rolled the snowballs the plugs would stick to the snow. By noon, it had melted and tipped over. Rylie was so devasted!
And I had to show her attire, she picked out her own clothes.
A Moose sweatshirt to go with her Wyoming shorts with tights, gloves, hat and snowboots.
What a cutie!
