Memorial Day...

We decided to take off for a few days and head to the big town of SLC. (I know, we are crazy). It turned out to be a lot of fun. We spent some serious time shopping, swimming in the hotel, letting Rylie jump on the hotel beds, eating out and then off to Hogle Zoo. It was raining pretty good and I was worried she wouldn't last, but she was a trooper. In fact the Zoo was a blast since there weren't too many people there and we had misters on us all day. The rainy weather was quite nice I didn't get the camera out too much, cuz of the rain, but here are a few shots. All bundled up with a beach towel, to stay dry. There was no way her Favorite Blankie was going to get wet.

After getting new carpet (thanks Crunch), we spent Memorial Day visiting cemeteries, I think they are so neat this time of year with all the flowers and a BBQ. What a great long weekend, wish it was every weekend.

Its a Girl OR...

Boy! Well we will just say its a Baby! No, we didn't find out last week the sex of the baby. The ultrasound all looked good! We had the technician, write it down for us and then she sealed it in an envelope. She was a 100% sure of the gender. Mike was okay with this because he doesn't think I can wait until September to find out. BUT as surprised as everyone is, I really want to wait until the baby is here. So sorry, you all get to wait too.

Baby Beckstead!

The sealed envelope and yes (to crunch) it's still sealed and hidden, have a little faith!

Health Days!

Health Days is the first parade of the year. For many, many years we would go to S town and watch the parade with my parents and my Grandpa and Grandma Meyer. After the parade, Grandma Meyer would always have a BBQ lunch afterwards. When we moved to S town several years ago, It was time for me to take over the tradition for Grandma. Grandma got to take a few years off of doing lunch, but she never missed the parade. Grandma's lunch included BBQ, pickles and olives, sliced swiss cheese, a salad or fresh fruit and Brownies for dessert. I hope to keep her tradition alive at Health Days. I sure miss her this time of year, since she passed away. Here is Rylie waiting with her bag for the best part of the parade, CANDY!
Lining up for the parade! And we came away with tons of Candy!

The Becksteads!

Grandma Smith, Grandpa Meyer and Rylie! I am sure glad Grandpa took time off to come to the parade again this year.
